Restaurant Taj Mahal in Muelheim an der Ruhr

Delivery service absolutely disastrous. 2.5 hours after ordering no delivery. Called twice both times we were told the order was on its way. The food is very good.

Pity... We have always happily ordered here as the food is really good. But unfortunately the service of online ordering and delivery cannot keep up here. Remarks such as "Salad without tomatoes" is not read and good food has to be thrown away because we do not eat it. Delivery times are also not taken into account. If I place an online order for 7 p.m. at 6 p.m., I have to expect a certain punctuality. If I then call at 7.30 p.m. and ask and have to hear "the driver is on the way" every time, then I feel a bit ripped off. With 10 orders, at least half of them always have something to complain about. It's a shame - we won't order there anymore and will try out the new competition on Mellinghofer Straße in the future.

At a very reasonable price they serve best food taste and quality. Quality is never compromised and they serve best food in Mülheim. Also, food is Halal and has best taste.

Have never eaten such a good pizza. Pizza Tono with onions. Special Indian spices are added to the pizza, which is probably thanks to a very good taste. The pizza is even better than in expensive pizza restaurants in Mülheim. I am not going anywhere else.

I'm in Mülheim for a few days and have a look at what's so delicious here. Found the Taj Mahal on the web and went straight to it. Staff, I think the owner was very nice. The food was delicious and so were the nans. Since I am very familiar with Indian cuisine, I can only recommend the Taj Mahal.

We order here more often, but have had very unprofessional experiences. I found the last one particularly wrong: in the late evening I received a text message that we had accidentally been charged too little and whether we could still pay the remaining amount. I reported back, but found it outrageous that the tip was not included in the shortfall and that this request was even made after we had waited 1:45 hours instead of the stated 45 minutes. And it was only about 5 euros. But I didn't even get a thank you on my transfer. I think that's really cheeky, because I thought it was very fair of me that I had even reported and agreed to pay back. I think we'll be ordering somewhere else soon, because underdelivered dishes, waiting times of over 2 hours and several other inconsistencies are part of our experience.

Horrible experience, naan is too thick to eat. It's uneatable. Chole is full of cream. There is no indian taste in food at all.

The food there is okay. After 20 minutes the delivery was with us. However, the driver was in a bad mood and very unfriendly !!!

Very nice, friendly operators. The food is always top, fresh and delicious. The minimum order for a small business is fully justified. The portions are always very large, so you can continue eating the next day. It's great in addition to the vegetarian, vegan dishes. Always my pleasure.

After recommending a friend to try Indian food I took the delivery service from Taj Mahal and ordered for 2 people. The order included 1x garlic bread, 1x eggplant in a batter, 1x curry-chicken (spicy) with rice and 1x chicken with tomato-spinach sauce. So far so good. The payment went smoothly online with Paypal. The specified delivery time was a maximum of 50 minutes. The food came only after about 1 1/2 hours of waiting. Telephone inquiries, where the food stays, were answered with the statement one does not know where the driver is. Probably forgot to set off smoking signs on the way ... The wait was already an impertinence. This imposition was surpassed only by the inferior quality of the food. The garlic bread was sticky and did not taste like garlic, but salted. The eggplants had the consistency of gum and a similar taste. The curry-chicken spicy was a sheer disappointment. In total, 6 tiny pieces of meat were floating in a greasy sauce that was neither spicy nor delicious. The flavor of this was the other poultry dish, with a little more meat, but with a tastier sauce. My conclusion: a pity about 30 €. Never again!

I like Indian food and it's ok. However, the Indian feeling and the sharpness are missing. The portions are not very generous.

Orders were quickly delivered by a friendly driver. Food tastes very good and has no indication that only one ingredient seems to be a TK commodity. Home-made food is great! Authentic cuisine, good spices, good price, good type on delivery. I am excited and wish that it stays that way.

At first I was confused. The shop itself is also a pizzeria. I would not sit and eat there. The food itself is amazingly delicious! Portions are appropriate and I recommend who does not tolerate, really only mild. The Nan is delicious! I will definitely order there more often! Good vegetarian and even vegan dishes!

Delicious! Although mostly quite empty, as many people can deliver the food, but good portions and a sharpness in the food. In addition to the Indian stuff, there are also Italian food, so something for everyone 🚀

Very bad place.🤮🤮🤮. So bad hospitality.. people are rude (i guess specially to Indians, they behave like this). Food is of average taste. I Wont ever visit again.

More being than appearance! Delicious. Is decorated very nicely, otherwise the decor is so 80s. Doesn't matter, however, because most customers probably order and rightly so. Food tastes great.

Tasty food but the place was not look like a restaurant. Very old chairs,tables and menu given to us was the one for delivery.
